This new logo replaces the traditional flag found in previous versions of Windows and will be used in Windows 8. If you check the logo, you will notice that this new logo is composed of flat colors and shapes which shows Metro UI.
This simple plan logo will change the color based on the theme color you use.
As explained by Moreau “When you change your color, the logo changes to reflect you”.
Microsoft is expected to this this new Metro inspired logo in Consumer Preview of Windows 8 which is expected to be available for download on 29th Feb
