Video: iPad 2 Real Racing HD in proper 1080p

Firemint’s new game Real racing HD for the iPad 2 is one of the first games for the Apple iPad 2 to come in 1080P without having to do any up scaling when plugged into your HD television using HDMI cables.
The iPad 2 goes out at a 1024×768 resolution for the screen, the mirrored video on your HDTV would be the same resolution which means you would have black bars on the left and right side of the screen like a frame.

Real Racing HD can run full screen at 1920×1080 when attached to an external display without the frame around the edges on your TV, Firemint came up with this and gives credit to Apple’s amazing graphics card inside. This game shows how great iOS devices can be for gaming, and worth while to own. Below is an attached video that you can watch to see the game play a bit, in split screen.

Samsung laptop boasts a 14-inch see-through LCD display

Samsung has unveiled a new notebook equipped with a transparent display. Yes! A transparent display. You must be wondering, why someone would need it. Well, it lets you see what’s behind the laptop screen, or lets you be aware while your boss is approaching. That’s my interpretation of its needs at least.

This new transparent display notebook from Samsung comes with a 14-inch transparent LCD display, which was shown off at FPD China 2011 this year. This 14 inch display notebook has a resolution of 1680 x 1080 pixels. There is also a white LED unit installed on each of the four corners of the display. The great news is that Samsung’s transparent display technology will be rolled out to other upcoming laptops later this year too.
Do you all think, this will be a hit. Well, not probably, because, it has only one new feature and thats a transparent Display and nothing new spec wise. In this rapidly evolving tech world, Samsung should have come up with a lot more than only this.

Turn your iPad 2 into a fridge magnet

With the launch of the new iPad 2, Apple has also presented a protective cover called Smart Cover which works with the help of a set of magnets that stick onto the new iPad. Besides it’s main function to protect the surface of the new iPad, users have found that it can also be used in other ways. One of them is making your iPad a fridge magnet, though I wouldn’t recommend that you try it with your iPad 2 as you never know what might happen.
From users that have tried it, it looks like the iPad feels secure on the fridge without the risk of falling off. So now with this new technique and the help of the Smart Cover you can cook while watching your favorite cooking show on the internet, or just Facetime with your friends while you’re having a pizza

LG G-Slate given a video preview by LGgirl

She has used this cool gadget and now she is out with a video of her experience with the LG Slate along with the gadget in the video.

Nobody knows, if it was a sponsored or paid commercial from LG or her real experience, but she’s done a great job attaining the attentions of many. The video showed off everything that the new Android tablet can do. It included surfing the web, shooting 3D content with its stereoscopic rear cameras (also capable of shooting 1080p if you don’t fancy 3D) etc. The Android 3.0 HoneyComb tab runs on a dual core NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor and is capable of showing 3D content (of course 3D glasses needed) and output onto any big screen through its HDMI port.

Google enables site blocking for its users

Not a while ago, Google released a Chrome extension that allows its users to block certain sites from showing up on their search results. This was a great extension, but now, Google has decided to add a blocking feature without any additional extension needed to all of its users.

This extension works great, but it was limited only to Chrome users, therefore, Google decided to add support for all users using their service, no matter what browser they are using. Now in order to block useless sites from your search results you don’t need Chrome browser or any apps. You just need to find a site that you wish to block in your search results and click the ‘Block all’, and you’ll never see that site in your results again.

Nokia E6-00 leaked – the first unofficial images

The images  and specs of the unannounced Nokia E6-00 have been leaked. It appears to be an updated version of the Nokia E71. The E6-00′s launch at the Mobile World Congress 2011 is set to overshadow a number of other Nokia launches, including the X7-00 and the N9.

From the little information that could be extracted at that moment I could only conclude that we are dealing with an 8 MP camera  with dual LED flash, front-facing videocall camera and runs Symbian^3.
The first unofficial image with Nokia E6-00 are not as we expected the phone to be. Instead of a generously sized touch screen we have a smaller version, which leaves room for a QWERTY-style keyboard found on the E71 and E72 models. It’s hard to say if the resolution is really the VGA previously announced, but the screen size and format does not exclude this possibility.

Samsung Galaxy Player 50

What makes the Samsung Galaxy Player 50 especially appealing amongst the mist of a world of portable media players or handheld devices is that its been embroidered with the Samsung Galaxy badge – which many of you will know about due to the success of its distant cousin, the Samsung Galaxy S Android phone. While its second ‘attraction’ will no doubt be the fact that its runs on Android, a relatively cheaper alternative to Apple’s iOS if having apps is what you’re after.

Design
Starting with its looks. The Galaxy Player 50 comes only in white, similar to the iPod Touch, its main hard key is a center key which acts as the ‘Home’ button. There are volume keys and power on/off buttons on either side of the device. All of these including the body of the Galaxy Player 50 itself feel plastic and dare I say cheap. Though its lightweight, its not the sort that feels sturdy and rugged, I would not have the confidence to let this drop onto my office floor and let alone put it through a stress test.
As you can see in the side view, it is not a thin device at all, 11.08 mm to be exact. The good thing about the Galaxy Player 50 is that its an Android device, which means mini-USB port, removable battery, and upgradable external memory in the form of a microSD (up to 32GB).
